The Precision Agriculture Specialist will carry on that tradition utilizing the latest and most intuitive, scalable precision technology, made to meet the unique demands of our customers' operations.
This multi-function position will be responsible for all aspects of precision farming technology, ranging from driving sales of precision farming products and services to performing maintenance services, including installation, calibration and repairs for all precision farming equipment and applications.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Establishes the Specialist and Forrester Farm Equipment as product experts and preferred partners in guidance and steering, application control, field data recording and other solutions Demonstrates precision farming and guidance equipment to existing and prospective customers with strong ability to negotiate and close sale Installs, calibrates, troubleshoots and repairs precision farming and guidance equipment Works with manufacturers to resolve issues related to Precision Land Management (PLM) products Familiarizes customers with mapping and global positioning systems Coordinates and conducts periodic training sessions on PLM technology and software for customers and, at times, employees Collaborates with management and marketing to grow sales for PLM products and services Carries out work both in shop and on calls to customer locations in a professional and timely manner Accurately tracks sales and service work and completes required paperwork on-time Follows all safety procedures and guidelines, and works in a safe manner in the shop and the field QUALIFICATIONS - Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn required; training provided Knowledge of various correction signals used in precision agriculture applications Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced, changing environment Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills, effective time management and ability to multi-task Develops and maintains strong business relationships Clear and concise communications, both verbally and in writing, with customers and coworkers Strong computer proficiency required Valid driver's license in good standing required Ability to operate customer and company-owned equipment and vehicles safely EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - College degree preferred with focus on agriculture, agronomy, ag business or ag engineering o Training or education in agronomy, ag science and/or global positioning systems also considered Farm machinery knowledge and/or agricultural experience strongly preferred 40
